Privacy policy

Last updated: 29 July 2026

Tifin AI Australia Pty Ltd (ABN 16 696 790 253) (“we”, “us”, “our”) is committed to protecting your personal information. This policy explains how we collect, hold, use and disclose personal information, and how we comply with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

1. What we collect

This website is an informational site for Australian advice firms. We do not operate client accounts or hold financial data through it.

The only personal information we collect directly through this website is what you choose to enter in our enquiry form:

  • Your name
  • Your firm or organisation
  • Your role (optional)
  • Your email address
  • Your phone number (optional)
  • Your firm size and area of interest (optional)
  • Any message you choose to write (optional)

2. How we collect it

We collect this information directly from you when you submit the enquiry form. We do not buy personal information from third parties, and we do not collect sensitive information as defined in the Privacy Act.

Our web host also processes standard technical information, such as IP address, browser type and pages visited, as part of delivering and securing the site. We use your IP address to rate-limit form submissions and prevent abuse.

3. Why we collect it and how we use it

We collect your information for the primary purpose of responding to your enquiry and discussing whether our technology is relevant to your firm.

When you submit an enquiry, we send it to our team by email and also record it in our internal business system, so that we can track our response and follow up with you. That record includes the details you submitted, the fact that you consented to be contacted, and any internal notes our team adds about the conversation.

We will not use your information for any unrelated secondary purpose without your consent, except where permitted or required by law. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for automated decision-making or profiling.

4. Direct marketing

If we send you material about our products or services, every message will include a simple way to opt out. You can also opt out at any time by emailing us at the address below, and we will action the request promptly.

5. Who we disclose it to

We disclose your personal information only to service providers who help us operate this site and respond to you, and to our related companies within the TIFIN group where relevant to your enquiry.

We may also disclose information where required or authorised by law.

6. Overseas disclosure

Some of our service providers, and some entities within the TIFIN group, are located outside Australia, including in the United States, where our parent company operates. This means your personal information may be disclosed to, or accessible from, overseas recipients.

Specifically, the internal business system in which we record enquiries is hosted in Singapore, and our email and website infrastructure is provided by service providers that operate outside Australia. Enquiry details you submit are therefore stored and processed overseas.

Before disclosing personal information overseas, we take reasonable steps to ensure the recipient handles it consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles, as required by APP 8.

7. How we hold and secure it

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference and loss, and from unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. These steps include access controls, encryption in transit, and limiting internal access to those who need it.

We retain enquiry information only for as long as it is needed for the purpose it was collected, or as required by law, and then take reasonable steps to destroy or de-identify it.

8. Data breaches

We maintain a process for identifying and responding to data breaches. Where a breach is likely to result in serious harm, we will notify affected individuals and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) in accordance with the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.

9. Accessing and correcting your information

You may request access to the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it if it is inaccurate, out of date, incomplete, irrelevant or misleading. Contact us at info@tifinai.com.au and we will respond within a reasonable period.

We do not charge a fee for making a request. In limited circumstances we may decline access, in which case we will tell you why in writing.

10. Anonymity

You may browse this website without identifying yourself. If you would prefer to deal with us anonymously or under a pseudonym, tell us, though in most cases we will need your contact details to be able to reply to an enquiry.

11. Complaints

If you believe we have breached the Australian Privacy Principles, please contact us first at info@tifinai.com.au. We will acknowledge your complaint and aim to resolve it promptly.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au, or by phone on 1300 363 992.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version will always be available on this page, with the date it was last updated shown above.
